Inside the gate
A garden center has two sign jobs. The road sign gets people in, and then dozens of small signs help them find what they came for and pick up a few things they didn't plan on. When those small signs are handwritten one season and printed in a different font the next, the place feels thrown together even when the plants are in great shape. A small set of matching templates fixes that.
Pieces we design
| Piece | Where it goes | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Bench and table headers | Above or along each growing bench | Big category words, readable from the end of the aisle |
| Aisle and zone markers | Hanging or on posts | Annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, houseplants, soil and mulch |
| Price cards | In card holders or clipped to benches | Editable templates so staff can change prices without a designer |
| Plant tag templates | In the pot | Your logo, the plant name, light and water icons, space for a printed price |
| Seasonal displays | Front tables and the checkout | Spring planting, fall mums and pumpkins, holiday trees and wreaths |
Built for weather and water
Garden center signs get sprayed by hoses, rained on and left in the sun. We design for the materials that survive that, such as coroplast, aluminum composite and waterproof synthetic paper, and keep text sizes large enough to read through a scratched holder. Light and water icons go on tags in place of long sentences, since shoppers glance at them with wet hands and dirty glasses.
Templates your staff can edit
Prices and stock change every week. We set up price cards and tags in a tool your staff already uses, with locked layouts and clearly marked spots to type into. A seasonal worker can make a new card on a Saturday morning without breaking the look.
The sign by the road
If the main sign needs work too, we design that panel as part of the set, sized for the distance and speed of the road out front. We also carry the look onto the delivery truck, shopping carts and staff aprons if you want them.
Questions
Can you match our existing logo?
Yes. Most garden centers keep their logo. We build the signage around it and clean up the files if needed.
Do you supply the sign blanks or holders?
No. We design the graphics and templates. Your sign supplier or print shop provides the materials, and we set up files for what they stock.
Spring rush coming and the bench signs are still handwritten? Send photos of what you have now and tell us which piece has to be ready first.
